Hey There FitCampers! I cant help but piggy-back off of Patrick’s post yesterday, it is too close to the new year to not talk about fitness goals and keep evaluating them throughout this week. Here is a great chart to look at (and check off) with where you are in your fitness now, and where you want to be within a year. Print it out, look through and check to see where you are with every aspect of fitness (some you may know off the top of your head, others might pop up in class from time to time). What are your goals for 2011? Have you given them any thought? Do you have any or even believe goal setting works for you?  Every year I set goals for the upcoming year. Business goals, financial goals, health goals and even random goals like certain house projects I want to finish or places I want to go. Whether or not you feel like goal setting can help you I have found it an enlightening experience over the years. As part of my goal setting ritual I always take a look at the goals I set for the previous year.  Some I may have achieved, others not, but I still feel the practice of goal setting is crucial to succes in any and all areas of life, especially when it comes to your health. Clearly defined health goals can give you purpose, direction and clarity when it comes to prioritizing your life and making the most of...

Heather joined FitCamp 5 weeks ago and has been getting fitter and stronger by the week. She is really getting the most from every single class and always arrives early and stays late working on her goats and any tight muscles that need extra focus after class. Her dedication runs so deep that she even took on yesterday’s “winter workout” challenge and crushed it.  Here are some pics she sent my way.  Keep up the great work Heather! Merry Christmas everyone! Santa decided to give us a late Christmas present and dump 12-24 inches (that’s 4-5 ft where I live in Ashby) on us tonight into tomorrow afternoon. Just what we all wished for! For tomorrow we will be cancelling all AM classes due to the storm.  At this point I have confirmed with Nick that all PM classes will run as regularly scheduled. Hey Team! Last night I was home doing the usual holiday chores; wrapping gifts, baking and stuffing stockings.  I needed something quick,easy and mess free for dinner (I knew Nick was on his way home soon and would be starving!)  I whipped together these “quiches” and they are delish!  This was acutally my mom’s idea- Thanks Mom! I thought I would share this for you for the holiday weekend.  These are something you could make  while the kids are opening the stockings.  They literally take 5 minutes to put together and by the time everyone is done opening gifts, you will have a healthy breakfast everyone will enjoy.  Starting the day off with a healthy meal will jump start you on the right foot to making healthy decisions throughout the weekend.
