Rachel Abelson

CrossFit Coach

Rachel likes 90s hip hop, Oreos and anything with champagne! She is a military spouse of 18 years and mom of 3. You can often find her lip syncing and dancing to the music at the gym. She prefers to be called fun size instead of short (she’s only 5 ft tall!).

Rachel started coaching fitness at 16 when she taught swim lessons. She has been a soccer coach, elementary PE teacher and group fitness instructor. In 2014, she and her husband joined a Crossfit gym and in 2015 she began coaching through the recommendation of her coach.

If you ask Rachel for one piece of advice, she’ll tell you that you have to take care of yourself so that you can take care of others. Her passion lies in showing others how strong they are; in the gym and in every day life.

Outside the gym you can find Rachel watching movies with her family (Disney movies are her favorite!), indoor rock climbing, attempting to ski or searching for the best coffee shop in town. She loves traveling, adventure and wants to visit at least 50 countries in her lifetime.
