My nickname for Jason has always been “the Animal” and here’s why.  450 Teams raced from Cannon Mt. to Hampton beach this weekend during the annual “Reach the Beach” relay race.  The 208 mile race was done non-stop with teams of 12 runners sharing the workload.  Jason’s team of 6 men and 6 women finished in 29.5 hours averaging 8:30 min/miles.  Jason ran 2 miles feeling good until he restrained his right calve muscle.  Did he stop?  Nope, he ran 8 min miles for another 21 miles helping his team with an average age of 45 finish in 229th place!  Jason has always been a believer in the philosophy of learning to get comfortable with being UN-comfortable.  Congrats J!  TUESDAY:  9.21.10 Max Weighted Pull-up 5 sets on 2 minutes “Fast n’ Furious” 3 Push-Jerks (135/95) 5 Burpees 7 Pull-ups AMRAP 15m “Core Conditioning” 15 V-ups 15 Good Mornings 10 Min...

You speak up, we step up!  As leaders in the health and fitness industry it is important for us as coaches and instructors to make the best choices for the benefit of our members.  However, it is also equally, if not more important to do something that I feel most gym owners do a terrible job of and that is to listen.  To listen to what members want and to make course corrections and changes based upon your feedback.  Afterall, you are the sole reason why we have a studio we call home in the first place. That being said we are making a change to our FitCamp Throwdown scheduled for next Saturday.  The purpose of this type of event is to bring all of us together to share in the common experience of accomplishing a set of challenges TOGETHER.  After speaking with a number of you on what this Throwdown means...

Happy Friday to everyone!  I want to end the week with an announcement that I KNOW many of you have been waiting for and will be thrilled with.  Starting on October 2nd we will be adding a Saturday morning 9:15am FitCamp class.  Please keep in mind that this class will be just like our weekly classes and count towards your membership usage.   It will also be a great option for many 2-3 day members who may miss a class during the week and can now use Saturday morning as a make-up class.  There is a spot on the main workout whiteboard at the studio for sign-ups each week if you plan on doing this class.  *sign-ups not essential, just helpful for a headcount for class set-up. Also, stay tuned for some studio announcements next week you won’t want to miss.  We have some exciting changes and new things happening at the studio over the...

Ally started FitCamp back in May and was immediately hooked.  She signed up for the summer looking to gain some strength and fitness for her upcoming Senior year playing college soccer for Laselle University.  Here’s what she had to say in a recent e-mail…  “Hi! I wanted to email you guys earlier but I’ve been super busy with preseason, and we went up to NY for a tournament and this week school started, so kinda hectic! I need to thank you for kicking my ass all summer, I loved every second of it though! fitcamp is amazing and really took my fitness to the next level, I learned so much from you both! Preseason was a piece of cake…I NEVER felt like “i was gunna die” ONCE!  We did alot of sprinting and agility work the first couple two-a-days that we had, I was always first :0) Now that we have been playing games and I’m an outside...
