CONGRATS to Josh B for winning the EXP 31 STRONG Challenge! Josh came in on top for total points for the month! We applaud your consistency and hard work! He also got some nice prize $$ to show for it! 😃 Nice work buddy! Hear more about Josh’s story below! (We will be sharing our runners up later this week!) What drove you to participate in the EXP 31 Strong Challenge? I like the accountability this type of challenge provides. It’s fun to do something like this with a community and use each other to stay motivated. What nutrition goals did you set for yourself? High protein, moderate carbs, and healthy fats (287g, 215g, and 97g). Enough tracking to keep me honest with these macros. Minimal processed foods and avoided sugar. What area of focus was the most challenging for you and why? What adjustments did you make to your...

My story as an athlete is quite a long tale that dates back to my middle school and high school years all the way through college. I was a football and basketball player in high school, and in my first two years of college I walked in as a novice for the division 1 crew team. There came a time in college where due to life circumstances I had to begin to work full-time and therefore could not continue to be the competitive athlete I wanted to be. However, it was my experience here that allowed me to learn about crossfit from a teammate and friend who happened to also be a crossfit coach. After my rowing career was done I found myself at Crossfit EXP. I have now been in Crossfit for almost two years, and once I graduated from college this past May, I decided to really take...

Q: What brought you in to CrossFit EXP? Since leaving college, I have tried to find a workout routine that works for me. I was looking for a lifestyle change; one that I would maintain for years to come and that wasn’t a quick fix to feeling healthy. I also knew that I did best when I worked out with a community. Mainly, I was looking for a community to help keep me motivated and wanting to come to class everyday. Q: What was your first impression of CrossFit EXP? Honestly, my first impression was how supportive everyone was. People were cheering me on and helping me learn the lingo and moves. I played Division I in college and it reminded me of the team atmosphere that I had back then. Q: Why did you or what made you stay at CF EXP? For me the community played a huge...

Q: What brought you in to CrossFit EXP? My wife, Emily and sister, Kacey kept urging me to try Crossfit. Every time they asked, I declined and told them to stop “drinking the Crossfit Kool-Aid.” With my workouts growing stale and to get my wife and sister off my back, I decided to give it a try. Q: What was your first impression of CrossFit EXP? I was very nervous joining EXP, I am not someone who does well with change. I stayed in the back during warm-ups and tried to stay out of everyone’s way. Everyone at the 5:15 class could not have been more helpful getting me accustomed to how the class is run. It did not take long before I felt like I belonged. Q: Why did you or what made you stay at CF EXP? The EXP community and coaching staff are what keeps me coming...
